Salary: £22,835 per annum 36 hours per week plus on call responsibilities on a rota basis (shift allowance paid)

12 month fixed term contract


Using your communication skills and proactive attitude you will empower female survivors of domestic abuse to live a life without fear. Working in our community-based service you will provide emotional and practical support to women who are experiencing or have experienced domestic abuse.  Enabling clients to reach informed decisions about their future, you will undertake risk assessments, produce safety plans, and liaise with statutory and other agencies.  In addition, you will facilitate group work programmes and take calls on our specialist helpline as well as deliver presentations in order to raise awareness.

You must have experience of supporting individuals who have been affected by domestic abuse or other trauma, including undertaking risk assessments, preparing safety plans and working on a multi-agency basis.  You must be well organised with a professional and flexible approach to your work along with a calm and re-assuring manner.   This is a full-time post 36 hours per week Monday to Friday.

Successful applicants must be able to drive, have access to a reliable car, and live within maximum 45 minutes driving distance from our office address in Woking.  This is so that occasional emergency on call rota responsibilities can be fulfilled in the rare event of callout to our premises for urgent support requirements.
