25 hours per week (12.30pm to 5.30pm Monday to Friday)

We are very proud of our specialist helpline through which we offer both practical and emotional support and we are now looking for a Helpline Advisor to support the daily running of the service. 

This is a demanding and interesting role where you will be covering a daily helpline shift as well as supporting a team of volunteers, reviewing and updating policies and procedures, and taking the lead on the administration of the helpline. This is a fantastic opportunity to use your initiative and develop your skills and experience whilst making a real difference to our service users.

You must be able to demonstrate the ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively (in person, over the phone and in writing); strong IT and organisational skills are essential and experience within a helpline role for a charity is desirable. Knowledge of issues relating to domestic abuse would be advantageous. A full driving licence and access to a reliable car is essential as is the ability to be on-call on a rota basis.
