We are very proud of our specialist helpline through which we offer both practical and emotional support and we are now looking for a Helpline Advisor to support the daily running of the service.
This is a demanding and interesting role where you will be covering a daily helpline shift as well as supporting a team of volunteers, reviewing and updating policies and procedures, and taking the lead on the administration of the helpline. This is a fantastic opportunity to use your initiative and develop your skills and experience whilst making a real difference to our service users.
You must be able to demonstrate the ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively (in person, over the phone and in writing); strong IT and organisational skills are essential and experience within a helpline role for a charity is desirable. We provide 25 days annual leave (pro rata), a contributory pension scheme and an employee assistance programme.
A full driving licence and access to a reliable car is essential as is the ability to be on-call on a rota basis.
