Facebook Birthday Fundraiser

Set up a fundraiser and ask your friends and family to donate  to us instead of buying you gifts.

Your Sanctuary eBay

By purchasing from the Your Sanctuary eBay site you will be helping to support survivors of domestic abuse and their children. Click here to go to the site:

Come Dine At Mine!

Hold a dinner party for friends instead of going out. Ask your friends to donate what they think the meal is worth all for a good cause!

Coffee morning or quiz night

Get together with a group of friends or colleague and enjoy coffee and cake or test your knowledge of trivia.

Challenge Events

Take on a personal challenge and ask your family, friends and colleagues to sponsor you.  This could be a marathon or laps of your garden or the local park! Or losing weight or giving up alcohol.

Your Sanctuary Bake Off

Why not dust off the apron and bake a cake or two? Host a Bake Off with your friends and family and donate the money you would have spent at a café to us.

Go purple for the day

Purple is the internationally recognised colour used when raising awareness of Domestic Abuse. Add a purple theme to your fundraising by organising a dress-down day at work/school/college with everyone donating £1-2 to wear purple!

Take part in a sponsored event

If you fund your own place in an event, you will be saving Your Sanctuary the 'up-front' cost so that all of the money you raise through sponsorship goes towards our essential work. We won't set you a target and will support you to raise as much as you can!

There are a number of ways that businesses and other organisations can give something back to the community they are working within. Supporting Your Sanctuary is an excellent way to enhance your organisation's social responsibility and impact.

Your help to raise funds will enable us to continue providing our valuable services for survivors of Domestic Abuse (who may be your customers, suppliers or staff).

Enterprise rent-a-car are one of our fantastic supporters – please watch this short video clip below to hear from them about how much they and their staff get out of their relationship with us:

The Cost of Domestic Abuse

Credit Assessment

Domestic Abuse costs UK businesses over £2.7 billion per year through decreased productivity, unplanned leave, lost wages and sick pay. 1 in 4 women and up to 1 in 6 men will experience Domestic Abuse in their lifetime. Perpetrators will often target their partners or ex-partners at their workplace.

As a responsible employer you should include Domestic Abuse as part of your health and wellbeing programmes, safeguarding and line management programmes. This can be as simple as having information leaflets and stickers prominently displayed in public spaces, ensuring that HR and line managers are trained to understand the signs of Domestic Abuse and how to respond, and to have a Domestic Abuse policy in place. We can provide you with advice and information with any or all of the above.
