Donations
At present, we would really appreciate monetary donations or vouchers which empower survivors to make their own choices. We also welcome donations of food, full-sized toiletries and cleaning products. Unfortunately we are unable to take second hand clothing donations, due to lack of storage space.
eBay
We welcome donations of new branded items including make up, unwanted gifts, high value clothing, hallmarked silver and gold jewellery (including items that need repair) for us to sell on our eBay shop which helps to raise vital funds.
Fundraising Events
Hosting your own event is a brilliant way to turn your interests into something that will support survivors of domestic abuse. Every event makes a difference.
-
Gather friends and neighbours for a bake sale, quiz night or coffee morning or plant sale.
-
Take part in a sponsored event raising money and awareness for Your Sanctuary
Corporate Fundraising
Could your organisation consider supporting our work? Perhaps by
-
holding a charity auction or team challenge
-
putting us forward as your Charity of the Year
-
implementing payroll giving - another way of donating without fuss!
-
asking us to come and deliver a workshop on understanding domestic abuse and the support available.

Businesses
Your organisation can help us to deliver our support

There are a number of ways that businesses and other organisations can give something back to the community they are working within. Supporting Your Sanctuary is an excellent way to enhance your organisation's social responsibility and impact.
Your help to raise funds will enable us to continue providing our valuable services for survivors of Domestic Abuse (who may be your customers, suppliers or staff).
Enterprise rent-a-car are one of our fantastic supporters – please watch this short video clip below to hear from them about how much they and their staff get out of their relationship with us:
The Cost of Domestic Abuse

Domestic Abuse costs UK businesses over £2.7 billion per year through decreased productivity, unplanned leave, lost wages and sick pay. 1 in 4 women and up to 1 in 6 men will experience Domestic Abuse in their lifetime. Perpetrators will often target their partners or ex-partners at their workplace.
As a responsible employer you should include Domestic Abuse as part of your health and wellbeing programmes, safeguarding and line management programmes. This can be as simple as having information leaflets and stickers prominently displayed in public spaces, ensuring that HR and line managers are trained to understand the signs of Domestic Abuse and how to respond, and to have a Domestic Abuse policy in place. We can provide you with advice and information with any or all of the above.
